A distraught farmer, who lost his crop in rains and hailstorm, was given a financial aid of Rs 2 lakh after his plight was highlighted by the media.
A government spokesman said that Achchhe lal of Pandui village of Banda was provided a financial assistance of Rs 2 lakh on the directives of CM Akhilesh Yadav. He has also been provided with a lohia Aawas and the DM has been instructed to get a survey done and benefit the needy under the lohia Housing Scheme.
The district administration has already provided a financial aid of Rs 20,000 to lal to make up for the damage to his crops after the hail storm last year. A six bigha land tract was also given to lal during the tenure of Mulayam Singh Yadav. Achchhe lal has expressed his gratitude to the Chief Minister for the pecuniary help and the house. The government spokesman said that the Chief Minister took the decisions after going through a news report about the poverty faced by Achchhe lal.
