Development will stop if Modi becomes PM: Maya

PNS, Biswajeet
Former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) president Mayawati Said that the country will lag in terms of development, if BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi comes to power at the Centre after the lok Sabha elections.
“The country will ruin and lag in development, if Modi comes to power at the Centre,” Mayawati said addressing an election meeting at Kothi Meena Bazaar ground in the Taj City Agra on Friday. She said Modi talks about Gujarat model of development but is silent on its content. What is this model. This is nothing but a media gimmick. There is no Modi or BJP wave. This is visible only on the TV channels while an undercurrent is there in favour of BSP, she said.
The BSP supremo further chided the SP, the BJP and the Congress for being alike and little sincere for the advancement of the state as well as the nation. She asked the people to give ‘balance of power’ to the  BSP.Hitting out at the SP government, Mayawati said it has failed to maintain law and order. The rise in number of communal riots prove this point. During BSP regime not a single communal riot took place while in this government over 100 riots were reported in 2 years, she said.
later addressing a rally in Mathura, Ms Mayawati said the backwards and the Dalits will be deprived of the benefits of reservation, if the communal BJP comes to power. Besides, the number of riots will increase, if Modi comes to regime, she alleged.
