Death of a 12-year-old girl, which sparks wide spread protest in Ferojabad on last Thursday, was a case of `human sacrifice’ and that too by her own father. The accused wanted to appease the God deity by sacrificing his daughter just to have a son in her place.
The above sensational fact came to light when the father of the victim along with two of the Tantriks were arrested on Wednesday. Surprisingly, he even tried to mislead the police on the fateful day alleging that his daughter was raped and murdered and that the cops were trying to conceal the crime.
Reports said that during probe of mysterious death of Sita, the cops of the local Dakshin police station, were stunned when the probe pointed the involvement of the victim’s father Kailash. Further probe showed that Kailash wanted a son so he came in contact with two tantriks, identified as Dr Pramod Kumar and Diwakar Kulshresta, both residents of linepar locality of Ferojabad.
According to district police chief of Ferojabad, Rakesh Singh, the enquiry showed that on the fateful day of May 21 last, Kailash organsied a hawan and at behest of two tantriks that if he will make human sacrifice and that too of his own daughter than he will have a son. So as per directions of the tantrik, Sita was brutally hacked to death and later her body was dumped in a gunny bag.
To misguide the cops, Kailash first lodged a case of missing of his daughter and two days later when the body was recovered, he alleged that Sita was raped and murdered. Not only this, the local residents who were shocked with the incident staged a violent protest. Rakesh Singh said that after the above development they picked up Kailash and both the tantriks on Wednesday morning and after confronting them with the facts, they all confessed of the crime.
It may be mentioned that Sita, daughter of one Kailash, a native of Chandrawar Gate area of Dakshin locality of Ferojabad disappeared under mysterious circumstances on May 21 last. The body of the girl was later found inside a gunny bag on last Thursday morning. She was suspected to be raped and murdered. The death of Sita went like a wild fire and local villagers gathered at the spot and blocked the traffic movement. They were said to be particularly agitated with the local police who failed to make any breakthrough in cases were girls are sexually exploited and later on murdered earlier on and now one more girl fell victim to similar crime. To register their ire, the mob reportedly went on rampage not just damaging several vehicles but also blocked rail traffic for several hours at Ferojabad railway station.
Meanwhile two persons including a eunuch were also murdered in separate incidents in Ferojabad and Bagpat districts. In Ferojabad, body of an unknown youth was recovered abandoned in field at Haiwatpur road under Sirsaganj police station on Wednesday morning. The face of the victim who was brutally hacked to death was burnt probably to conceal the crime. However, local residents later helped the cops to maintain the identity of the victim as 27-year-old Ragvendra aka Taka, a resident of Arawroad also in Sirsaganj. A case was registered and body was send for postmortem examination. Further investigations are on in the matter.
In another case reported from Bagpat, a eunuch identified as Susheela, hailing from Aminnagar Sarai locality of Singhawali, had some dispute with her neighbour Azeez. The matter took an ugly turn when after some heated confrontation, Azeez opened fire killing Susheela on the spot. local police later arrested Azeez and send him to jail.
