A bizarre case of kidnapping of a youth, for Rsconversion’, has been reported from communally sensitive Rampur district on Monday evening. local police, who confirmed of registering the case, claimed that the matter was still under investigation particularly to confirm whether it was forced conversion or the youth willingly adopted the other religion. Report said that one Rajesh Kumar Sharma, a resident of Bahupura hamlet of Tanda in Rampur, reported the matter to the cops of Swar police station also in Rampur that his 18-year-old nephew, Akash Sharma, who worked at a computer shop, has been kidnapped by some unknown persons who forcibly converted him to Islam and had also circumcised his private organ.
Reports further said that the cops registered the case at that of Kidnapping under Section 364 IPC and also recovered the youth on Mondayevening. His medical examination report also reportedly confirmed that RsKhatna’ was performed. However, mystery shroud over the incident as incharge of the local Swar police station claimed that the youth probably went for conversion on his own but they were still trying to find out reason behind it. Further investigations are on in the matter.
