A day after PM Narendra Modi inaugurated the Afghanistan parliament building, where a block has been named as `Atal Block’, UP minister Azam Khan in Rampur said that the PM should reciprocate Kabul’s gesture by allowing construction of Babri mosque at Ayodhya.
The minister also questioned the PM’s wisdom of the surprise visit to Pakistan on his return to Delhi from Kabul. ``The PM has ditched the nation. Both Houses of the Parliament were in session till December 23 and the PM should have shared this information with the Parliament about his visit.’’
Targeting the PM, Khan said, “There is nothing unusual in the PM’s conduct as fascists are known for this kind of conduct. The PM is not setting healthy precedent by making a visit to a foreign nation by withholding information from the people and the Parliament.’’
He opined that the PMs of both countries were united and the saber rattling on the line of Control in Kashmir was for public consumption only. “Modi gifts Kashmiri shawl and Malihabadi mango to Pak PM’s mother. They also sent Kebabs and sweets as blessings and was accepted by the Indian PM.’’
Khan added that instead of wasting time on foreign tours, teh PM should focus on his party’s internal issues involving cabinet colleague Arun Jaitley and party MP Kirti Azad,”.
On the Vishwa Hindu Parishad’s aggressive posturing on Ram temple at Ayodhya, Khan said, “The state government will take every step to maintain law and order and will not allow any party or organization to disturb social harmony.’’
