Congress yuvraj Rahul Gandhi is concentrating on ‘Khidki’ (Window) in his campaign for formation of United Progressive Alliance (UPA)-III after the next Parliament elections.
The ‘Khidki’ a social networking website of the Party will be daily updated with achievements and policies of the UPA-II besides uploading views of the party on latest issues which were raised through the media – both electronic and print – from time to time. Interestingly, to counter Bharatiya Janta Party’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi’s popularity on social networking sites, Rahul, who too is an aspirant for the same post is now developing a specialized task force to keep updating the `khidki’.
Not only this, the Party is also going to change it Media Department as Communication Department with three tier-system—one which will directly interact with the media on different issues, another core-team of Rahul which will be entrusted with social media and would upgrade the party’s official social networking site `Khidki’ and lastly the brain behind the two earlier teams known as `Media Research Wing’. This research wing will work form behind and will provide all relevant material to the two frontal media wings by every noon so they could launch a campaign for the party on daily basis to counter the issues which were either raised by the opposition, media, or public.
Not only this, now Party’s is also developing it’s panel both at Centre and State level and the Party’s will decided that who leader will go on which channel for discussion. The move was reportedly made to brief that spokesman with the Party’s stand on the issue which is to be taken up for discussion and also to provide him sufficient material prior to the discussion.
With several workshops were already organised and one is still in progress in New Delhi to form a core team of Rahul Gandhi for social networking site `Khidki’, sources in the Party confirmed that in Uttar Pradesh also, similar workshops will be organised on six KAVAl towns starting from coming Friday in lucknow which will be inaugurated by State president Nirmal Khatri.
Each of this workshops will cover districts falling within 150 Kms radius approximately consisting of 21 districts. The Party will select around half-a-dozen workers at every district or city units of the Party and emphasis will be laid that the leader is well aware of the social networking site so that he could easily handle Party’s social media agenda. Sources said that besides net-savy senior leaders of the Party, experts from the field were entrusted to impart training in each State so that a well trained core team on social media will work for Rahul Gandhi’s campaign at national level for formation of UPA-III in the Centre.
