To expose wrongdoings of Narendra Modi led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government at the Centre, local units of the Congress in lucknow would brief block-level party members so that they could make people aware of the failures so that an atmosphere could be created in favour of Congress ahead of the next Parliament elections.

The task is to be finished within this month after which the Party would launch a full fledged campaign against the Centre to ensure it’s ouster from in coming Parliament elections.

“We will hold block-level meets with party workers, leaders and people sympathetic towards Congress and make them aware of the failures of the Modi government, particularly how the BJP misguided people in the name of bringing about `achche Din’.

“The focus will be on reminding how the BJP cheated people after promising by slashing petrol prices, reducing inflation, depositing Rs 15 lakh in every account by bringing back black money, waiving of farm loans and ensuring 50 percent profit over production cost, 2 crore jobs to youths etc,” asserted UP Congress general secretary Vinod Mishra.

The Congress leader, who is also in-charge of party affairs of lucknow district, told media persons on Saturday afternoon that senior leaders like UPCC chief Raj Babbar, MlAs, MlCs, former MPs, and UPCC office bearers etc will also attend these meetings.

District Congress chief Gaurav Chaudhary, who will conduct these meetings, said that though the state president asked them to begin the meetings from June 5 and complete it before June 25, they would actually start the program after Eid.

Chaudhary said that meetings of all eight blocks of lucknow will be held from June 18 onwards and it would be over by June end. He also said that soon after the meetings, party workers would hold chaupal in rural areas to discuss problems faced by the farmers.
