Congress demands for strict action

Pioneer News Service

With the probe against mining minister, Gyatri Prajapati, reportedly moving at snails pace following objection raised by the accused minister, Congress, which so far remained tight-lipped over the issue and not raised the matter on the Floor of the House, in the on-going Budget Session, finally came out from the slumber and demanded stern action in the matter.

The issue was raised by the Congress, when all the ruling Party ministers seems to be getting some relief as the complainant in Gyatri case had turned hostile, while the Azam’s matter reportedly not comes under the preview of lokayukta, and there is reportedly no direct evidence against the minister for secondary education, Mehboob Ali. However, what is surprising that the Government is even going soft on the former ministers of Bahujan Samaj Party’s regime against whom, Mehrotra had already recommended stern action besides registration of criminal case.

RsRsThe probe against mining minister Gyarti Prajapati, by lokayukta Justice (Retd) NK Mehrotra, clearly pointed that a well-organised syndicate is working at the behest of the minister from VIP Guest House, which is monitoring illegal mining across the state”, pointed spokesman of the Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee (UPCC), Dr Hilal Ahmed Naqvi, adding that he was surprised that why the State government was not taking any action against Prajapati, when the enquiry against him disclosed minister’s hand in illegal mining.

RsRsThe Samajwadi Party is just making huge claims of not comprising on issue of corruption but the manner in which chief minister Akhilesh Yadav took no action against any of his three ministers or that of even former ministerial colleagues of BSP supremo Mayawati, against whom Mehrotra already made recommendations for criminal proceedings clearly pointed that both Parties were hand-in-gloves on the issue of corruption, hence Akhilesh was saving not just his ministers, but also those in Mayawati’s cabinet”,Hilal alleged here on Wednesday evening.

RsRsInterestingly, Samajwadi Party supremo, and former chief minister, Mulayam Singh Yadav confessed several times from public platform that many of the ministers of Akhilesh’s cabinet were indulged in corruption and were giving bad name to the government but his son Akhilesh was not ready to accept the truth”, Hilal asserted while asking the chief minister to act against the culprits and punished them for siphoning of government funds and misuse of public money.

Hilal also pointed that how in the memorial scam, several ministers of Mayawati as well as officials of Rajkiya Nagar Nigam and Mining Department were held guilty in lokayukta’s probe but due to soft approach of the present Samajwadi Party government, all seems to have gone scot free. RsRsMehrotra even send Special Reports to the Governor in almost all the cases against former ministers of BSP’s regime but in none of the case, State government so far tabled Action Taken Report on the Floor of the House”, pointed Hilal while claiming that it clearly pointed that how the present and members of former BSP government were working to save each other on the issue of corruption.
