Congress Party accused Samajwadi Party of patronising corruption and pointed that selection of tainted officials in the (Service Selection Board) of Madhyamik Siksha Parishad is a glaring example of it.
``State government had violated all norms and rules and had appointed one member in the SSB in Madhyamik Siksha Parishad who is just a clerk in Basic Siksha Adhikari’s office and was suspended in 2010 in alleged cases of giving fake appointments", pointed spokesman of the Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee (UPCC), Ashok Singh, here on Saturday evening. Singh said that even two of the ministers in Samajwadi Party (SP) government had made written complaint against the said member and ordered a enquiry against him. However, the government over look all the aspects and appointed a suspended clerk as member in SSB.
Singh further said that not only this, one woman hailing from other State has been also made member of the SSB after violating all laid norms. ``Uttar Pradesh Education Manual clearly pointed that SSB could not have any acting chairman but even than government made an appointment on the said designation", Congress spokesman alleged while demanding a high level enquiry into the matter.
Singh said that what is surprising and shocked him is that the corruption has been made in the appointment that too after violating all norms even when chief minister Akhilesh Yadav is looking after the above Department. He said that it was the responsibility of the chief minister to immediately get the matter probed and take appropriate stern action against the officials concerned otherwise it would be deemed that the irregularities were made with chief minister’s consent.
