After changing more than 90 per cent of it’s existing district and city Congress units, State Congress president Nirmal Khatri made fresh move to change the set up of state and district level committees of 18 cells and departments along with those heading the monitoring committees of flagship programmes of the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) governmen. He dissolved all the state level as well as their district units for restructuring here on Friday afternoon.
Khatri is said to be on the job to make it complete revamp of the Organisation at all the levels since Congress youth icon, Rahul Gandhi held the Rs Organisation’ responsible entirely for the poor show in last Assembly elections. Interestingly, it almost took a year for changing district and city units for Nirmal Kharti and he had still not constituted his own committee at State level. However, now he and incharge of the Party affairs here in the State, Madhusudan Mistri claimed that the job will be completed by September so that they could start campaign for the next Parliament elections with entire new set-up.
Giving details the exercise made by Nirmal Khatri with consent of Rahul Gandhi and Madhusudan Mistri on Friday afternoon, spokesman of the Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee, Virendra Madan said that all the committees of UPCC cells and departments, both at state as well as district level were dissolved with immediate effect. He said that besides the cell and departments, all the district level committees of UPA’s flagship programmes which were still working despite of their State level committees had already been dismantled several months back, will also deemed to be disbanded with immediate effect.
Madan said that the orders of the cell and organizations which were disbanded on Friday included Minority Cell (headed by Maroof Khan), SC & ST Committee (headed by retired IAS, Shee Ramkrishna), Backward Committee (headed by former MlA Vinod Chowdhary), Gauravshali Senani Vibhag (headed by retd Air Marshal Ashok Kumar Goyal), Kisan and Khet Mazdoor Committee (headed by Abhay Chowdhary), Vichar Committee (headed by Sampornanand Mishra), and legal and Human Right Committee (headed by Umesh Narain Sharma) etc. Besides the above, 11 cells which included Vyapar Prakost (Neeraj Bora), Shram Prakost (Irshad Ali), Chikatsha Prakost (Dr Jiyaram Verma), Swatantra Sangram Senani & Uttradhikari Prakost (Prahlad Prasad Prajapati), Research and Development (Tariq Siddiqui), Anti-Communal Cell (Ambresh Mishra), Sahkarita Prakost (Bachcha Pathak), Pravatiya Prakost (RC Upreti), Civic Bodies Cell (Bhagwati Chowdhary) and Budhijeevi Prakost (Dr Awadesh Tripathi) all were also dismantled by Khatri on Friday. He said that very soon new committees will be formed after making discussion and inviting suggestions from eight respective zonal heads and presidents of 114 city and district level units of the Party.
