lauding the Prime Minister Narendra Modi as honest and a person with good intentions, the sacked Samajwadi Party general secretary Ran Gopal Yadav one of his decisions to demonetise the high value currency notes has hit the common people and created a crisis.
“The decision to demonetisation of currency was a hasty decision without adequate planning and the strategy for its smooth implementation. This has created a crisis for the entire economy, the markets and for the common people. Many lost their lives as doctors refused to treat them as they did not have the new currency notes to pay for the treatment’’, said Ram Gopal Yadav.
``One single decision of the prime minister Modi has turned the common people to beggars even as they were well heeled people but standing for days together in queue in banks to withdraw or change the currency notes’’, said the former SP leader adding `` the situation is critical and the government must take immediate measures to tide over the situation’’.
He said that the demonetisation of the high value currency notes did not affected the rich people or the business class and banks also helped this section of the society by providing them the new currency notes’’, alleged the former SP leader. The former SP leader said the situation in the rural areas is very bad as the banks have failed to transport the stock of the new currency in the ATMs and branches in rural and semi urban areas. He said formers were forced to postpone the marriages of their children and the sowing for the Rabi crops has also been adversely affected.
He also suspected that the flow of counterfeited currency would also increase by the central government’s action.Yadav said that he will raise the issue in the Rajya Sabha during the winter session of the parliament commencing from November 16. “We will also stop BJP from coming from power in UP and other states assembly polls,” he said.
