CM to ask public support for Assembly Polls

PNS

Predicting Assembly polls in the state by December, 2016, Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav said that he will go to the people with his report card and ask for their support because the SP government has extended benefits to all sections of the society without bias.

“People can evaluate our work. It is only the SP government that has fulfilled all its promises in record time. We had inherited a ramshackled system. We have built it brick by brick and now we have taken the state to the path of development,” Yadav said at a function in lucknow on Monday.

Yadav disclosed that his government has time till October to complete all works because elections can be held anytime after that – may be in December this year.

The CM said that when the SP government had introduced laptop, some Opposition leaders had called it `jhunjhuna’. But that fact is without laptop, no one can fulfill the dream of Digital India as envisaged by PM Narendra Modi.

“We have distributed over 18 lakh laptops and no one raised a finger at our work. No corruption charge has been levelled against us which proves that transparency has been implemented by our government,” he said.

Yadav spoke at length about various schemes that his government has launched to improve infrastructure as well as extending social welfare projects in the form of Samajwadi Pension Scheme.

“If we are building roads, we are also improving power structure. Availability of power has increased bringing down demand of generators and invertors by almost 40 per cent. The government has extended benefits in form of farm sector,” Yadav said.

“The Agra-lucknow Expressway will change the face of UP and will be inaugurated on October 2. This work will be completed in record 22 months. The government acquired land for this project but there was no protest. Similarly, we have linked all the district headquarters with four-lane roads,” he said.
