Staying away from loakyukta controversy Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav said that his Government honours Supreme Court decision.

“I cannot say much …. I can only say that the government honours the supreme Court judgement,” Yadav told reporters after cabinet meeting here on Friday.

The statement came a day after Chief Justice of Allahabad High Court DY Chandrachud has written a stinging letter to Governor Ram Naik blaming Chief Minister of keeping him in dark while forwarding five names to the Supreme Court that included the name of Virendra Singh.

“The Supreme Court has taken a call (on appointment of lokayukta) and my government respects the orders of the court,” he said.

When asked about UP's cycling team having just one cycle at the ludhania meet, the CM said that the cyclists should have informed the government before going for the championship.

"I have talked to them and will provide them good cycles for future competitions," he said.
