CM inspect development of projects in lohia Gram

Biswajeet, PNS

Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav carried out a sudden inspection of development projects in lohia Gram in Mohanlalganj and warned officials to speed up development pace or get ready to face the music.

“Government has launched many welfare schemes and benefit of these projects should reach the beneficiaries. The responsibility is on officers to ensure beneficiaries stand benefited by these schemes,” he told officials during the inspection on Monday.

Yadav said officials should ensure that developments in lohia villages are carried out as per specifications. The projects should be completed in time. The Government wants that benefits should reach all the persons equally, he said.

Chief Minister went to Bhasinda lohia Gram, at the outskirts of the state capital, that falls under Mohanlalganj tehsil and went around to inspect construction of Awas Vikas Parishad buildings. He also went to primary school and interacted with students.

The students and teachers were surprised to see Chief Minister amongst themselves in the morning. “The students were in school uniform. Chief Minister interacted with the students to evaluate the teaching standard, which he found below mark. He reprimanded the teachers and asked them to improve teaching standard,” a senior government official who accompanied Chief Minister told The Pioneer.

He said Chief Minister even ate mid-day meal with the students and found it satisfactory.

Yadav also had interaction with the villagers and listened to their woes. Villagers told him about loose electric fittings. Chief Minister himself went to the houses and actually found the wire dangling precariously. He asked the officials to rectify the faults immediately.

He also went to Kalindi Park in Vrindavan Yojana and found it locked. He asked officials to throw it open for the public.

“The parks are meant for the public. These should be thrown open for the people all the time. This Samajwadi Party Government is committed to the welfare of the people. Anyone found violating this order would be punished,” Yadav said.

Senior PWD Minister Shivpal Singh Yadav and Political pension minister Rajendra Chaudhry accompanied Chief Minister during inspection.

Yadav had announced in September that he would carry out inspections in the lohia villages and asked the officials to complete the projects as per specification in time. Government had selected over 10,000 villages under this scheme.
