Taking on Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for his claim of improvement in law and order with the gunning down of 17 criminals, the UP Congress alleged that the CM had poorly failed in implementing the rule of law and hence took to eliminating miscreants.
“Failing to improve the law and order situation Yogi resorted to a ‘Bullet for a bullet’ theory which in itself is a indicator of his failure,” asserted Chairman of UP Congress Media Committee, Satyadeo Tripathi.
“The failure of the Yogi regime and law enforcing agencies to implement the rule of law and intead using bullet to eliminate criminals, most of whom ‘escaped from police custody’ is a pointer of the abject systemic failure,” Tripathi, the former UP Home minister during Janta Party’s regime said.
“Crime graph and newspaper headlines about sensational crimes on front pages on a daily basis, have thoroughly exposed Yogi’s claim of improvement on the law and order front,” he added.
“Not killing, but strict implementation of law was the only measure towards providing a fearless society. Saffron leaders, especially youth wing of Hindu Yuva Vahini was the biggest problem for law and order,” Tripathi charged.
Tripathi along with former minister and senior Congress leader, Dr Ram Krishna Dwivedi also hit out Yogi for cheating the farmers community.
``Yogi and his government made a mockery of loan waiver scheme by writing off just crop loans. Numerous farmers got a pittance of Rs 10 to Rs 100 as loan waiver benefit which was less than the amount spent on reaching the venue to receive the certificate,” Tripathi pointed out. “Besides, the cane growers too failed to get their arrears as promised by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during Assembly poll campaign,” saiod he.
Former minister Dr Ram Krishna Dwivedi said that the scenario was so negative for businessmen that no industrialist wanted to come to Uttar Pradesh.
“Under-development and deteriorating law and order during Yogi raaj have wedged fear among industrialists who are shying away from t he state. The situation worsened after Tata and TCS started winding up their operations in lucknow,” pointed out Dwivedi. The Congress leader also accused Yogi for being the most insensitive CM of the state referring to the child deaths in Gorakhpur.
“Instead of expressing sympathy towards the families of the victims, Yogi casually claimed that such causalities took place every August. Hundreds of children have died this year in Farukkabad, Bahriach, Etawah etc but the state government was least bothered. Instead it was patting its back claiming several achievements in the last six months,” Dwivedi pointed out.
