Chief Minister Yogi Aditya Nath claimed that his government will not allow anyone to dupe farmers and directed all the Party Members of Parliaments and legislators to maintain a close monitoring on the Wheat procurement centers to keep the middlemen away.

“All the MPs and MlAs should maintained a vigil on the wheat procurement centers starting from Saturday (April 1) so that middlemen could not cheat the farmers and that the real benefit should reach to the producers’, asserted Yogi while claiming that only through close monitoring, the directives of the government regarding wheat procurement could be successfully implemented.

Giving above information here on Friday, state government spokesman said that Yogi had asked that the government will not allow anyone to snatch the benefit of farmers. He said that as soon as any complaint regarding irregularities in wheat procurement will reach to the government, immediate action will be taken and if allegations will be found true, than stern action will be taken against the procurement center in-charge.

Spokesman further claimed that during last government’s regime, middlemen were active at wheat procurement centers but this time, no one will be allowed to come between the government and farmers while procuring their crops. He said that to identify the farmers, the government officials will take the help of their Adhar Card or agriculture field area etc. Besides, the purchase price will be directly credited into the back accounts of the farmers and no cash transactions will be allowed.

Spokesman said that Yogi has also directed to all the district magistrates that they will ensure that the crop will be weighed properly. Besides, CM has also asked to provide shelter place (shade) to farmers and proper drinking water facilities so that farmers should not face any difficulty due to scorching heat while waiting for their turn to sell their crops.
