The devotees can now offer puja at Kashi Vishwanath temple electronically as Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has asked officials to start the process of e-donation and e-puja in Kashi Vishwanath temple within a fortnight’s time.

The directive was given during the presentation of Religious endowment department here last night.

“The officials should ensure e-puja and e-donation in Kashi Vishwanath temple with in next 15 days. Similarly, application for Kailash Mansarovar Yatra and Sindhu Yatra should be accepted online. Besides, e-portals of religious places should be launched in fortnight,” the Yogi said during presentation.

The Chief Minister also issued directives for construction of boundary walls across all religious places. He also said that these places should be linked with state highways through a proper approach road.

Construction of boundary walls around religious places was a big issue during election. The BJP had claimed in its campaign that Samajwadi Party government had spent more money for graveyards than on cremation grounds.

“Presentation of Ramlila in Ayodhya, Raaslila in Mathura and Bhajan Sandhaya in Chitrakoot should start at the earliest,” CM said and ordered that Bhajan Sandhaya Sthal in Ayodhya should be constructed at the cost of Rs 14.77 crore by June 2018.

“Similarly, Parikrama sthal in Chitrakoot should be constructed within stipulated time. Funmds worth Rs 13.75 crore has been released. The officials should ensure that construction is carried out as per specification,” he said.

Chief Minister also said that all these religious places should have proper resting places for pilgrims and availability of water and toilets should be ensured. “It will be the responsibility of the local administration to keep the area around these religious places clean,” he said.
