“This was an achievement which even the foreign media picked up and reported,” Yogi said.

In her address, Patel stressed on implementation of people-oriented schemes.

“The effort of any government should be to wipe out tears from the eyes of the poor and downtrodden. Any government which achieves this becomes popular,” she said, emphasising as to why Narendra Modi continued to win elections one after the other in Gujarat.

The Chief Minister explained the policies of his government and congratulated the Governor for her decision to adopt TB-inflicted children and motivate other employees of Raj Bhawan to do the same.

“Ministers in-charge of various districts should make officers adopt TB affected children in their respective districts. If we can do this, we will be able to fulfil the dream of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to eradicate TB by 2025,” the Chief Minister said.

Deputy Chief Ministers Dinesh Sharma and Keshav Prasad Maurya also shared the dais with the Chief Minister and the Governor while other ministers sat in a semi-circle in two rows around them.
