A total of 100 Urban Health Centers, a website on girl child and online portal for monitoring of drug procurement was launched by Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on Thursday.
Addressring the gathering on the occasion chief minister Akhilesh Yadav praised the health department for doing good job. “In the past two years health department has come up as the best department of all others,” said the chief minister.
He also launched online drug purchase, inventory, and supply management system through which data of all government hospitals can be seen by anyone. The website, aiming to bring about transparency in drug purchase, will show stock of medicines with the hospitals and also purchases done at local level.
On the occasion a website (www. pyaribitiya.in) through which monitoring of the ultrasound centers will be done was launched. The entire data from all the centers will be uploaded and common man can even file complaint on this website against any ultrasound center. If the complainant wishes the name will be kept secret.
Under the National Urban Health Mission these Health Centers will come up in all districts with over one lakh population will facilitate doctors at flexible timings. Thus enabling patients to see a doctor between 8 am to 12 pm and 4 pm to 8 pm at the urban health center, of which 100 were launched at a function held at Indira Gandhi Pratisthan today. At these centers the timing has been specifically kept to enable working class to visit doctor with ease in office hours.
They will now be also freed from district level hospitals and to long queue. Also these centers will have all the facilities at par with the Primary Health Centers, there will be two doctors, with two nurses, one pharmacist and a lab technician.
In their address the ministers Nitin Agrawal and Shankh lal Majhi elaborated upon the utility of the web sites and the steps that are being taken by the state government for improving health services.
