Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav made a fresh attack at the Centre over demonetisation claiming that the move would create hurdles in economic growth. Yadav said this after laying down the foundation stone for Patanjali Food and Herbal Park in the lok Bhawan on Wednesday morning.

"My government is focussing on development and laying an infrastructure to boost economic development. But there are some leaders who were creating hurdles and trying to put a spanner in the progress of the nation," asserted the Chief Minister.

Without naming Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the CM said that the common people at large and farmers in particular have been the worst sufferers of withdrawal of high value notes since November 8 midnight.

Yadav said that his government is ready to forward all help to those coming forward for the welfare of farmers.

"Patanjali has done a great job not only in facilitating farmers but also created thousands of jobs. So, I asked Baba Ramdev to visit a vegetable market in Europe spread over 300 acres land and to develop a similar market for farmers in UP,” said he.

"Patajali’s new food and herbal park in Noida along the Yamuna Exressway would turn out to be a milestone for the state. It would not only enhance farmers' welfare but the project would also craete 10,000 direct and about 80,000 indirect job opportunities for local youths.

The CM also praised Baba Ramdev for providing organic and natural products at very reasonable rates as compared to other multinational companies.

Advocating increase in farming and handing out more facilities to farmers, the CM questioned, ``I want to ask the youths that if everyone wear ties and go to big cities for work, than who will do the farming. More importantly, from where will we getthe food.”

Yadav also asked Baba Ramdev to use the services of doctors as people listen more seriously to them. ``If you or I ask tell people that fruits were good for health, they will not listen. But when a doctor says the same thing, people will go for it.”

In the same veing, he added, "Our government introduced food distribution in schools to increase the nutrient value in mid-day meals and many children tasted them for the first time."

Hailing the CM for development works across the State, Baba Ramdev said that he likes Akhilesh as he never spoke ill about anyone and that he was a man with good values.

The Baba said that his new venture `Patanjali Food and Herbal Park' spread in 455 acres along Yamuna Expressway in Noida, will work on agriculture-based products, herbal products, medicinal plants, animal feeds etc. He said that a Research and Development Center in the park will also be run to come up with more people-friendly and healthy products.
