A cleric was found dead under mysterious circumstances in his room in Baraut area of Bagpat on Friday morning. The sensational killing came to notice when some local residents reached to offer prayers in the mosque on Friday morning. They reported the matter to the local police. A case has been registered against unknown person in this regard and heavy police force has been deployed to avert any untoward incident.
Reports said that 70-year-old Samaideen aka Sher Mohamed, who was working as a cleric in a Mosque at Idrispur locality of Badaut in Bagpat, for the last 4-years, was found dead when some local residents reached to offer prayers on Friday. The victim was having gun shot injury marks which suggested that some unknown person entered the mosque sometime on the intervening night of Thursday and Friday morning and escaped after killing the cleric. However, his colleagues and other residents failed to give any clue and they also claimed of having no knowledge whether the victim was having any dispute with anyone. The cops dispatched the body for autopsy test and were making all out attempts to work out the case.
