Former Bahuajn Samaj Party leader RK Chaudhary alleged that the BSP in cahoots with the ruling SP tired to sabotage the rally of DS 4 organised at Bijli Pasi Qila in lucknow on Tuesday.

“BSP Rajya Sabha member Satish Mishra pulled the strings in the district administration through his connections in the SP government and the permission for the rally was cancelled late on Monday,” Chaudhary alleged.

“Both the SP and the BSP were scared of the rally. No wonderthen the district administration denied permission on the grounds of threat to the security of Bihar CM Nitish Kumar from snake bites,’’ said Chaudhary.

He added thatthere was no threat from reptiles to anybody as the party had already hired the services of 10 snake charmers  to prevent any exigency.

The drama unfolded after lucknow district administration refused to permit the rally at Bijli Pasi Qila ground in Ashiayana on Monday night. The administration advised the organisers to shift the rally venue to nearby Smriti Upvan which the latter refused.

In the midst of a deadlock between the adminsitration and Chaudhary’s supporters, Bihar CM Nitish Kumar reached lucknow airport from Patna around mid-day. The district authorities urged Kumar to proceed to the VVIP guest house instead of going to the rally venue.  The Bihar CM had to wait for nearly three hours at the guest house.

The Bihar CM could go to the venue only after the deadlock was resolved and the authorties permitted holding of the rally at the Bijlee Pasi Qila ground.

Expressing displeasure over the delay, Nitish Kumar criticised the district administration of lucknow saying, “They granted permission for the rally at last but wasted valuable time for no reason.’’

Official sources however said that the permission was denied as far more people were expected to attend the rally than the actual capacity of the Bijlee Pasi Qila ground and the threat of snake bites also loomed large in the monsoons.

The authorities allowed only close to three thousand persons to enter the rally ground and almost equal number of people waited outside.
