Calling spade a spade Shia ulemas shot back against Uttar Pradesh Minority Welfare Minister Mohammad Azam Khan calling him back stabber and blamed him for Muzaffarnagar riots after which Hindu’s polarised in favour of the BJP.
“Maulana Kalbe Jawwad is not an agent of BJP but it is Azam Khan who has helped Narendra Modi to gain power at the Centre,” said around seven Shia maulanas here who came in support of Kalbe Jawwad here on Thursday.Addressing a joint press conference here, Maulana Habib Haider Abdi leading the attack on Azam Khan said that the minister was acting against a community and issuing his statement on his official pad which is illegal. “The Akhilesh Yadav government should replace Azam with any other person as minister of minority welfare so that such dispute do not arise,” he said.The Maulana alleged that Azam Khan was blaming Kalbe Jawwad as an agent of the BJP but instead it is proved that the minister was solely responsible for the Muzaffarnagar riots and he helped the BJP to polarise the elections.
Other maulanas who were present in the meet were Raza Hussain, Hasan Zafar, Intazam Haider, Mohammad Mian Abdi, Sayeed Gulam Raza, Sayeed
Sahabat Husain and Firoz Hussain. Meanwhile, the Shia maulanas have placed their five-point charter of demand before the government which includes disclosure of the CB-CID probe report in the Shia Waqf Board irregularities and punish the guilty, order CBI probe in the Boards activities, judicial probe in the July 25 lathicharge of the Shia youths in lucknow and withdrawal of all cases against the Maulanas and other along with release of all the arrested youths.
