Calling UP’s budget as anti-farmer, BSP supreme Mayawati said it means nothing to people as Government do not have plans to implement policies.

“The UP government budget is meaning less for the people of the state as it whatever announcements are made would remain on papers. Nothing will translate on ground,” she said and added the ruling Samajwadi Party was only interested in providing sops to the Yadav family and the benefits to the uncles and nephews of Chief Minister.

In a reaction to the UP budget, which was tabled by Akhilesh Yadav in the state assembly on Tuesday, Mayawati said when the government has failed to utilize earlier budgetary grants and this new budget is meaningless.

The budget means a source of corruption for the ministers. Two ministers are already in lokayukta net for earning money more than their disclosed sources, she said

She said that the state government has failed to focus on the poor and the downtrodden in its budget. The muslim and the dalits were also ignored in the budget. The budget is anti-people and anti-farmer, she said.

The former UP chief minister also demanded that the farmers whose land has been acquired for roads like Agra- lucknow Expressway should be given adequate compensation along with government job to one of the family members of the farmer.
