Former SP minister and now BSP lok Sabha candidate from Ferozabad, Basheer Ahmed is in deep trouble. The maverick politician's second wife Nagma has accused him of demanding dowry and forcing her to engage in unnatural sex.
The distressed wife has also accused her husband of tearing her clothes before kicking her out of their house in Agra on the night of May 24. The local police however chose to ignore the complaint and registered a case only when senior officers intervened.
Basheer Ahmad had earlier married SP MlA from Deoria, Ghazala lari. later he developed a liking for Nagma and married her after divorcing Ghazala a year back.
Sources said that Nagma suspected Basheer of luring a third woman into marriage for the greed of getting dowry and hence had plans to divorce her.
Nagma of Mohalla Tila Ajmeri Khan alleged that husband Basheer Ahmed was demanding dowry from her family on the pretext that he got more cash in his first marriage. She accused that when her parents failed, Basheer started
harassing her and forcibly engaged in unnatural sex with her and torn her clothes on May 24. later threatening her with dire consequences, he threw her out of the house. She later informed her family who rescued her and reported the matter to the cops. The local police however chickened out and refused to take cognizance. She later met SSP, Agra, after which a case was registered.
A case against Basheer Ahmed under relevant sections of sodomy, dowry harassment, assault and life threats was registsred at the Mantola police station in Agra.
A top police officer confirmed that a case had been registered in this connection and if charges were found to be true, then appropriate legal action would be initiated against the accused. The victim will be sent for medicall examination for substantiating her charge of unnatural sex before taking any action.
