Statement of State President of Bharatiya Janta Party laxmikant Bajpai through which he threatened to see senior superintendent of police of Moradabad, Dharamveer Singh Yadav, for his alleged excesses on party leaders, created political storm with all the other Parties raising strong objection demanding action against BJP’s state chief.
``The real character of BJP has been itself admitted by their own state president, laxmikant Bajpai, who called himself a `Nagin’ while threatening SSP Morababad and even state government”, asserted spokesman of the Samajwadi Party (SP), Rajendra Chowdhary, who is also a senior minister in Akhilesh’s government. Warning the pubic of remaining alert from such subversive forces like BJP, Chowdhary said that this Party (BJP and RSS) already had an agenda of dividing the society to grab the power. He said that statement of Bajpai is not just highly objectionable but he also strongly condemned it as it clearly pointed that what respect do BJP leaders had for the constitution and officers working in it.
``The comments of Bajpai that he is a `Nagin’ and had stored the image of SSP Moradabad to see him later clearly showed that BJP leaders had no trust in the democracy or the officers working in it”, reacted spokesman of the Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee, Amarnath Agarwal. He alleged that just after coming to power in the Centre, the BJP leaders seems to have lost their mental balance and started even attacking the bureaucracy which would adversely affect the morale of the officers. ``While prime minister Narendra Modi had tried to divide the bureaucracy on political line by openly directing not to post any officer with any of his ministers who had served with United Progressive Alliance government, now BJP’s state president had issued an open threat to see SSP Moradabad, which showed that how the saffron brigade were hitting the morale of the government officers”, Amarnath pointed saying that the trend is very dangerous for the democracy.
Earlier laxmikant Bajpai, who led a Party’s delegation to Moradabad and met the DM over Kanth issue on Saturday morning, accused SSP Dharamveer along with Additional SP, Anil Kumar and circle officer, Rahul Kumar, for unnecessary attacking on BJP’s leaders and activists. Bajpai also said that on the fateful day all the BJP leaders were already arrested till the noon at incident at Kanth railway station took place at2pm still the local police blamed them. He also accused Dharamveer for not implementing the compromise which has been already reached between the two parties.
Further threatening Dharamveer with dire consequences, Bajpayee said that they will see such officers after his Party government would come to power. He also threatened to launch an agitation in this regard if amicable solution would not reach and announced to ghearo the divisional commissioner of Meerut’s office on coming Tuesday. later they would do the same at Sambhal, Rampur, Amroha and Bijnore for the next four days and if they still not get any solution than they will ghearo the Vidhan Bhawan. Calling it a fight to save prestige of BJP leaders, Bajpai warned chief minister Akhilesh Yadav to stop appeasement of minorities otherwise be ready to face the consequences after the public would through Samajwadi Party out of power just like they did in recent Parliament elections.
