BJP slams govt for slapping NSA on Rana

Biswajeet, PNS

The state unit of Bharatiya Janata party has criticized the state government for slapping National Security Act on two BJP legislators saying the action smacked of political vendetta.

"The NSA on BJP law makers was invoked to appease a particular section of the society. This is being done keeping in mind the forthcoming lok Sabha elections," BJP state president Dr laxmi Kant Bajpai said here on Thursday.

He said that leaders of other political parties like Congress, BSP and SP too were present in that maha panchayat and had addressed the people. "The BSP legislator was arrested and was released on bail for the same crime while no FIR was lodged against SP leader," he said."This shows that Government is selective in taking action against people. Only BJP leaders were harassed while others were allowed to go scot free," he said.
