Questioning the police theory on murder of a widow at the outskirt of state capital, BJP said that Government’s apathy in this case shows that it is trying to protect someone who is powerful and well connected to the power.
“This looks very absurd that the police allowed cremation of the body immediately after post-mortem. The controversy over kidney has given a new twist to the whole scenario. How the police will prove now that the victim had actually donated kidney as claimed by the SGPGI doctors,” BJP spokesman Vijay Bahadur Pathak said in a statement issued here on Wednesday.
He said that after the Badaun gang rape and murder case was handed over to CBI it wanted to exhume body as it is not satisfied with the post mortem examination carried out by the doctors.
“The family members of the Mohanlal Ganj case are also asking for a CBI probe. What will happen if police hands over the case to CBI and the central investigation agency wanted to have a re-look into the post mortem,” asks Pathak.
“The haste with which the police had carried out post mortem and allowed cremation of the body shows that the police was trying to protect someone. Who is he only the time will tell,” the BJP spokesman said.
