After BJP president Amit Shah asked senior leaders to get in touch with the masses, the party has restarted its `Jan Sahyog Kendra’ where ministers and senior leaders would listen and redress the woes of the people. The Jan Sahyog Kendra was operational but was closed down during Urban local Bodies poll. However, after the drubbing at the two lok Sabha bypoll at Gorakhpur and Phulpur, Shah asked party leaders to establish and connect with the people and party workers and redress their grievances.
On Tuesday, the Kendra was restarted in the state BJP headquarters with Medical education minister Ashutosh Tandon and Transport minister Swatantradeo Singh holding the fort for the government. State BJP general secretary Pankaj Singh and secretary Dharamveer Prajapati too were present.
Talking to media persons, Swatantra Deo Singh said that ministers and senior leaders would work in tandem to redress grievances of the people. “letters approved by district presidents, MPs and MlAs will be taken up on a priority basis. Every Tuesday, senior ministers and leaders will hold camps in party headquarters and solve people’s problems,” he said.
Singh said the BJP government was alive to the problems of the masses. “The Chief Minister is holding Janata Durbar at his residence every day while ministers listen to people’s problems and redress them in their offices on Monday and Tuesday. MPs and legislators are also holding Janata Durbar in their constituencies,” Singh said.
“People’s problems will be solved immediately. If need be DMs and SSPs will be given directions on telephone,” Singh said.
