Former Chief Minister and Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav called the policies of BJP governments – both state and central – as fluid which were meant for the welfare of rich while the poor suffered.

“What can you expect from the BJP governments IJ. There is one which is in power for almost four years at the Centre and another is there in UP for last seven months. These regimes have only made promises and done nothing to end sufferings of poor,” Yadav said while addressing members of youth wings and party workers in lucknow on Thursday.

Yadav said that in comparison, the Samajwadi Party government worked for the welfare of people and everyone could see the work it did. “Now a days, when the parts of UP, particularly lucknow, is grappling with pollution, the work done by SP government has come in handy. We built parks like Janeshwar Mishra and lohia Park which are green lung of the city,” said teh SP chief.

“The Yogi government is only giving ‘bhashan’ as it does not have a policy to meet this exigency. This government has closed down all our projects but failed to come up with new suggestions,” he said.

Akhilesh also congratulated the newly-elected president of Mahatama Gandhi Kashi Vidyapeeth Rahul Dubey and general secretary Anil Yadav and faculty representative Sushil Kumar Yadav for winning the students union election in Varanasi. The results have proved that the youth are with the SP and this is a good augury for us,” the SP chief said.
