BJP MP stuck in a controversy when he said Madarssa are producing terrorists

Biswajeet, PNS

The BJP MP from Unnao Sakshi Maharaj stoked a controversy when he said that the Madarasa's are producing terrorists in the country and demanded that these should be closed down.

“The Madarsas should be closed down because they do nor respect Indian Tri colour. This is strange that these madarsas do not celebrate Independence day and Republic day, Why do not madarsas do so,” he said
during a press conference on Kannauj on Sunday.

He said that these Madarsas are operated by anti-national people and should be closed down as these only teach Jehad and incite students as how to become terrorists.
Giving new twist to the on-going controversy over love jehad he went to claim that Muslim youths are being given specific financial assistance to marry Hindu girls. “Rs 11 lakh is given to marry a Punjabi girl, Rs 10 lakh given to marry a Hindu girl, Rs 8 lakh for marrying a Jain girl, Rs 6 lakh for marrying a girl from another community and price goes on,' he said.

He charged that Muslim countries of the middle-east are behind this conspiracy as they are funding money to promote love Jehhad. Sakshi Maharaj further said that the children born out of these marriages are not given education and they are trained to become terrorists.

Reacting to these allegations Samajwadi Party spokesman Rajendra Chaudhry said that Shakshi Maharaj is a known rabble rouser and he is known to spread communal hatred. “The statement of Shakshi Maharaj was anti-national and aimed to divide society on religious lines. The district administration will take action against him,” Chaudhry who is also cabinet minister in the government said.

Meanwhile, Maulana Khalid Rashid Firangi Mahali reacting sharply to the statement of Sakshi said: “He is not aware of the history.' Several eminent freedom fighters came from Madarsas. Such statement can be made by the person who has no respect for other religion.”
