Taking a cue from Aam Aadmi Party, the Bharatiya Janata party too would launch a programme seeking "note (money) and "vote" from each household for party’s Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi.

BJP’s state spokesman Vijay Bahadur Pathak said that the party would launch online campaign "Modi for PM fund" in Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday. "Under this campaign any person can donate money through internet banking, mobile banking or credit card. The donation from Rs 10 to Rs 1 lakh would be accepted. Off-line campaign on similar lines would be launched soon," the spokesman said in a statement here on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Pathak came down heavily on the Akhilesh Yadav Government for inviting riot victims and listening to their problems. "This is nothing but an appeasement policy.

Why people from only one community were invitedIJ Were not other section affected by the riots," he asked. The BJP spokesman was reacting to the report that a delegation comprising members of minority community met Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on Tuesday and expressed satisfaction over the relief work being carried out by the state government.

"The fact is the people - both Hindus and Muslims - face the ire of rioters and members of both the community are deprived of the basic necessity. The need of the hour is to look for amicable solution and extend relief to the people who urgently need government assistance," he said.
