BJP hit out at SP says "National President post was reserved for the family"

Biswajeet, PNS

Hitting out at Samajwadi Party the state unit of Bharatiya Janata Party said that ruling party’s national convention was a “drama” where the post of national president was reserved only for the family.

“Election of Mulayam Singh Yadav to the post of national president was just a drama because this post is reserved only for the family members,” BJP state president Dr laxmi Kant Bajpai said in a statement issued here on Wednesday.

He said that Government money was being misused for this mega show. “The party talks about fulfilling all promises but is silent on what happened to its much hyped laptop distribution project. Why the Government shelved it,” he asks.

Party’s spokesman Dr Chandra Mohan in another statement said that presence of Mulayam’s second son Prateek Yadav and his wife Aparna Yadav on the dais proves that party’s national convention was just a family show because both of them do not hold any party post.

“The political and economic resolution adopted by the party is nothing but a bundle of lies. The comments made against judiciary tantamount to contempt of court. The party has also unnecessarily made comments on Governor and media,” he said.

BJP spokesman said there seems to be difference of opinion among the leaders about performance of Government. Majority of leaders praised Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav while party’s national general secretary Naresh Agarwal voiced concern over law and order and power crisis.
