PNS

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said on Monday that the BJP government will provide modern facilities in cities so that city roads will be free of traffic snarls and residents will have all basic facilities.

Addressing an election rally in Hardoi, Yogi said that for the last 15 years, people have been running after local MlAs and MPs to get their muhalla clean.

“The previous regimes had used Nagar Nigams as an instrument to loot government exchequer. This will end now. The BJP will come to power it will ensure that residents get all the basic facilities,” he said.

“At the Centre, we have a BJP government. In the state too, the BJP is in power. And if we have control over Municipal Corporations and Boards, the distribution of money from the Centre to the ground level will be smooth,” Yogi said.

The CM promised separate kiosks for hawkers. “A new hawking policy is on the anvil and we will introduce the same at the earliest,” he said.

later, Yogi went to Gorakhpur where he said that civic elections will help in bringing a new work culture at the ward level. “People will see improvement in cleanliness. This is possible if BJP wins all the wards and municipalities in UP. Every month we will review the progress in Municipal Corporations and do the needful,” he assured.

Yogi said that the Union government has selected 13 cities under Samart City category and Gorakhpur was one of them. “People were earlier scared to come to Gorakhpur but now we will generate employment opportunities so that they will be forced to come here,” he said.
