Alleging that the state was engulfed with multiple burning issues including the worst ever law and order situation and problems of power and drinking water, the state BJP has demanded the government to convene a special session of the State legislature to discuss the overall situation of the state.
The deputy leader of the BJP legislature Party Satish Mahana while demanding the sepcial session said that during the formation of the government the ruling SP had promised to hold the State legislature session after the gap of two months. "Now it seems that if the Constitutional binding is not there, the government will not call the session even after the passage of six months" he said.
The BJP leader said that ruling party leaders and workers have made the life of a commoner hell with their anti social and unlawful activities." The rank and the file of the SP has also demolished the morale of the police and the state has virtually no police force for all practical purposes" Mahana said demanding that special session of the State legislature must be convened to discuss the burning issues.
Meanwhile citing the arrest of three Pakistani terrorists in Bahraich the state BJP alleged that this incident has once again established that the Uttar Pradesh has become the safe heaven for the terrorists. "The decision of the state government to release the terrorists for the vote bank politics has demoralised the morale of the police force and encouraged the terrorists to spread out their operations in UP" the state BJP spokesman Dr Chandra Mohan.
The state BJP spokesman said that in want of Muslim votes , the SP Government was not shying from even misleading the courts. He said that proposal to provide 20 percent
quota to Muslims in developmental work will jeopradise the unity and integrity of the society and it will lead unrest among the people as this will be the height of Muslim appeasement.
