Samawadj Party has alleged that the BJP has bared its agenda for the 2017 state assembly elections by appointing a tainted person as its state president. The SP said the electoral strategy of the BJP for the next assembly election stands exposed and it’s now clear that the BJP will go to the polls with a communal agenda.

Samajwadi Party spokesman Rajendra Chowdhary said here on Saturday that the earlier observations of the chief minister Akhilesh Yadav are proving to be prophetic where he had warned of the conspiracies by the opposition before the assembly elections. He said the BJP by choosing a tainted person to head state unit against whom 11 criminal cases are pending has demonstrated that the all claims of probity and integrity in public life were merely `Jumla’ for the party.

"The BJP claimed from the rooftops that it was a party with a difference. The difference stands exposed as the BJP has shown  that the party was not averse to courting the  tainted persons with criminal background  as long it serves its narrow political ends’’, . said Rajendra Chowdhary. He said Keshav Maurya, though a BJP leader is better known for his close links with the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and the RSS.

The SP spokesman, also a cabinet minister  said ever since the formation of the  SP government in March 2012 , BJP   has only spread hatred  and communal violence in last four years  through the provocative speeches of their leaders. He said the sole agenda of the BJP in last four years was to vitiate the social harmony by spreading communal hatred. He said the nefarious designs of the BJP were thwarted by the Samajwadi party   government and the communal forces could not their ugly head.

He alleged that the opposition parties like the BJP, BSP and the Congress had no tangible issue to go to the people. He said out of their frustration the opposition parties are in the habit of making unfounded allegation against the government with the sole objective of maligning the image of the Samajwadi party and the chief minister Akhilesh Yadav. He said the chief minister during the last four years have faced the machinations of the opposition parties with firm determination  and the people of the state continue to have faith in his leadership.
