Supporting the statement of Prime Minister Narendra Modi that in the name of gau raksha some people do business, state unit of BJP has asked Akhilesh government to set up a ' task force  to nab the offenders and punish them.
"If  UP government is serious on cow protection it should set up a task force so that the offenders who are slaughtering cow as well as those taking law in their hand on the name of gau raksha could be nabbed and punished," BJP state  Keshav Prasad Maurya told reporters here on Sunday after conclusion on two-day state working committee meeting.
“What Prime Minister said is justified. Some people are using Gau Raksha to intimidate others. They are making money out of  it. This should end and the onus is on State government to stop this,” he said.
When asked as why Ram Mandir did not find mention in political resolution of the party Maurya said that BJP was always in the favour of the Ram Temple at Ayodhya but “the matter is pending in Supreme court and we are expecting a favourable decision.
BJP MP from Phulpur in Allahabad,  was however critical on the statement of chief minister Akhilesh Yadav who claimed that with saints blessings his government will return to power. "No saints or Ram Bhakts would support the family of Mulayam Singh Yadav whose hands are smeared with the bloods of f Ram Bhakts,” he said.
Maurya also skirted the question on CM face of the party in the state elections. "We can assure the people that the next CM would be from BJP. It can be anyone -  even an unknown worker. The CM faces projected by other parties would lick the dust,” he said.
On the concluding day of the meeting the party also announced to hold state wide demonstration on August 11 and gave a slogan “ Ma beti ke samman me , BJP maidam me'. Party will also take out Tiranga Yatra in two phases from August 9 to 14 and again from August 16 to 23 besides four parivartan yatras would also be brought out soon in UP.
