Beni attacks PM over the Kanth trouble

PNS

Former Union Minister and Congress Working Committee (CWC) member, Beni Prasad Verma made a frontal attack on prime minister Narendra Modi and alleged that he was behind entire trouble in Kanth (Moradabad), just as the ruling Central government wanted to divert the public attention from rising prices of commodities as well as rail fares. Interestingly, Verma also goes soft on Mulayam Singh Yadav and said that he was ready to give full support to Samajwadi Party government in Uttar Pradesh, if it takes fight to stop Saffron brigade from hurting the social fabric of the country just to make political mileage out of it.

“I am firm believer that a new government should be given at least six months to rule but Modi’s government failed on the first month when it hiked the rail fare, petroleum prices as well as the prices of eatables and other essential commodities like sugar,” he alleged adding that now they are trying to flare up communal tension in Uttar Pradesh for their vested interest to divert the public attention from real issues.

“Communal agenda should be dealt with strong hands and we will do anything for that and even not hesitate to support UP Government if they seriously handled the situation in Western UP, which is again boiling just due to mischiefs of BJP”, he said. Earlier Verma always used to criticise SP supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav over his ‘secret’ support for the BJP.

Verma also attacked Modi and his team for not giving leader of Opposition seat to Congress in the lok Sabha. Talking to media persons here on Monday, Verma said that there is no such mandatory norms that no Party can claim the post without getting 10 per cent of the seats. “Congress has all the right to stake claim for the leader of opposition post in the lok Sabha,” he stressed adding that even they the required target as they had pre-poll alliance with some parties who all together also crossed that mark.

Verma further said that he would soon take up the war against BJP on roads particularly to save the social fabric of the society which is in  danger if Saffron brigade continued to use politics of divide in the country. “I will meet the Congress high command within a week to seek

their approval to launch a big agitation in UP against the BJP’s

communal agenda,” he added.

Blaming PM Modi for the communal unrest in Moradabad, the Congress leader said,” the act of the BJP leaders in UP was just to divert the attention of the people from inflation and other failures of the BJP government.” He warned that if Modi continues to promote the UP BJP

leaders in disturbing the secular fabric of the state, then in coming days the entire state would be in the grip of communal disturbances.

Reiterating his claim that Congress vice- president Rahul Gandhi would become the Prime Minister of the country one day as Narendra Modi is just a temporary PM and has already failed in his one month rule, the Congress CWC member said that blaming the UPA government for the price hike by the present BJP regime only proves that Narendra Modi has no vision and has ditched the people of the country by his high hopes.

Meanwhile, Verma has also criticized the Congress leaders who

are blaming Rahul Gandhi for the lok Sabha defeat.”Rahul Gandhi

had given his cent-per-cent during the elections, but it is unfortunate that the result was negative,” he said. The former minister also opposed the statement of Rashtriya Janata Dal(RJD) leader lalu Prasad Yadav claiming that now Kamandal could only be challenged by Mandal.”I think that only Gandhi ideology could prevent both Kamandal and Mandal”,he commented.
