Keeping a door ajar for association with Samajwadi party, Imam of Delhi Jama Masjid, Mualana Syed Ahmad Bukhari said that only hurdle was Azam Khan who is working against minority community.
While talking to The Pioneer, Bukhari said Azam Khan has got many government departments but for what when he doing nothing for Muslims. Instead, he insults employees and staff every time. Even the IAS and PCS officers fear him so much that they do not want to be posted departments headed by him.
Hinting Samajwadi Party as an option for 2014 lok Sabha Elections, he said every Muslim had witnessed the betrayal of Congress Party done with the community in past 10 years. They made promises but nothing was done for Muslim welfare. Similarly, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) has nothing to do with the community, it has been favoring to a specific community and there is no space for Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP).
"In such a political scenario, Samajwadi Party is the only option left with Muslims in the state. But the "Minister" in present government had been hurting the sentiments of community, due to him Muslims could even back off from SP in the upcoming elections," said Bukhari.
Continuing attacks of Azam Khan, he said: "Common Muslims does not like him anymore as he has done nothing for their welfare. If SP wants support of Muslim vote bank in 2014 lok Sabha Elections, just like they got in 2012 Vidhan Sabha Elections, the party will have to take a stand on Azam Khan."
Speaking on supporting any political parties for elections, he said this is no the right time to extend support to any political party, we are reviewing the activities and ideology. When the right time will come announcement would be done.
