A seer from Ayodhya has announced to organise a Sanatan Dharm Sansad at the Taj Mahal in Agra on May 5 where he will declare India as a Hindu rashtra.

He also declared that he would install an idol of Lord Shiva inside the monument.

The announcement was made by Ayodhya-based seer Jagadguru Paramhansacharya from Tapasvini Chhavni Peethadhiswar in a video which went viral.

The seer has asked his followers to reach the western gate of Taj Mahal at 10 am on May 5 from where they will go inside the monument and offer prayer. He even claimed that the Taj Mahal was in fact Tejomahalaya, a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva.

“During that Dharm Sansad, India will be declared as a Hindu rashtra. All the activities will be carried out under the ambit of the Indian Constitution,” the seer said.

The seer claimed that he was denied entry to the Taj Mahal on April 27 because he was carrying a Dharm dand (religious mast) and was wearing saffron clothes. However, an Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) official said the seer was not stopped because of his saffron clothes.

A senior ASI official, Raj Kumar Patel, said that he had spoken to the seer saying if there was any miscommunication he should visit the Taj Mahal again.

Of late Dharm Sansad, organised by different factions of Hindu organisations, has vitiated the atmosphere of communal peace. The Dharm Sansad organised from December 16 to 19 in Haridwar, where over 50 seers addressed a closed-door meeting, triggered a nationwide outrage over the alleged call of homicide against members of the minority community.

Controversial seer Yati Narsinghanand, who is out on bail in the Haridwar hate speech case, in a Hindu Mahapanchayat held in Delhi recently, urged Hindus to produce more children to prevent the country from becoming Hindu-less in the coming decades.

He said in order to awaken Hindutva, a Dharm Sansad would be held in the Mathura-Govardhan region from August 12 to 14.
