In a daylight robbery, armed men robbed occupants of a UP Roadways bus after injuring its driver in the posh Civil lines area of Etawah - the native town of CM, Akhilesh Yadav, on Tuesday.
As per reports, some persons boarded the Kanpur-bound bus (UP78BN-1824) at Jaswantnagar and started robbing the passengers on Tuesday afternoon. The criminals took away Rs 17,214 in cash from conductor Raj Kishore Shukla and even injured him. The criminals also looted valuables including jewelleries, mobile phones, 2 laptops and cash from the passengers.
As the bus entered the Civil Oines area of Etawah, the armed gang deboarded the bus and escaped. The driver and conductor were admitted to a hospital. A case was registered in this regard and lthe police launched a manhunt to nab the culprits.
