'Appoint general candidates as asst teachers'

PNS

The Uttar Pradesh Congress has asked the Yogi Adityanath government to formalise the appointment of assistant teachers from the unreserved category and issue appointment letters to the selected candidates.

The UP Congress said the appointment letters be issued to unreserved category candidates while maintaining the quota for OBCs and Scheduled Castes.

Senior Congress leader Pramod Tewari, in a letter to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, said it would be injustice with the candidates of the unreserved category if they were denied appointment as assistant teachers even when their name was included in the list of the successful candidates published by the Basic Education department.

The Congress leader said if the candidates of unreserved category were denied their due, the Congress would take the matter to the court.

Tewari, in a statement issued here on Sunday, also lashed out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi for blaming the Congress for the high non-performing assets (NPA) of the public sector banks

“The Prime Minister has made a ridiculous charge. Even people with the most elementary knowledge of economics know that the demonetisation of high value currency note had dealt a huge blow to all sectors of economy resulting in huge disruption in economic activities which has led to the huge NPA in PSU banks,” the Congress leader said.

Tiwari alleged that all the fugitive businessmen who are big defaulters and have fled the country have close ties with the Bharatiya Janata Party and its senior leaders.

He said the Reserve Bank of India had reported that over 99 per cent of the demonetised currency notes had returned to banks and so Modi owed an answer to the nation as to what happened about his claim of eliminating black money with the demonetisation.

The Congress leader also alleged that the Rafale deal was not only the biggest scam of India but of Asia.
