The candidature of Poet turned Politician and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader, Kumar Vishwas for contesting lok Sabha Elections from Amethi constituency against Congress Vice-President, Rahul Ganhdi, is likely to be finalized within 15 days.

"Kumar Vishwas has submitted the applicant form with the party for contesting lok Sabha Elections from Amethi and so far the party workers of the constituency are willing to felid him only. But still we cannot say it final. Announcement will be made within 15-20 days after Party’s Parliamentary Action Committee (PAC) will release first list, which includes some name from the state," said AAP leader, Sanjay Singh while addressing the press conference here on Monday.

Speaking on party’s stand for lok Sabha Elections, he said the party will contest almost on all the seats in the state. The selection of candidates would carry a process, just like it was in Delhi assembly elections. "There was no limitation for anyone willing to apply for contesting lok Sabha Elections through AAP. The deadline for sending application has been fixed as January 15," he added.

Explaining the process, Singh informed that after the application would be received along with recommendation of 100 local voters it will be reviewed with the help of District and state committees with the help of locals and journalists. Then the names would be sent to party’s PAC for final approval. After the names would be finalized, it would be displayed on official and social networking websites for people’s review. "As it was in Delhi assembly elections, if even at the last moment any proof of violating party’s norm for candidates, the candidature would be cancelled immediately," he added.

Continuing their promise of rising up against the caste and religion based politics, he said the issues of Muslims, Dalits, Backwards and Hindus are raised by all the political parties but what does society got from this. Just before State assembly elections-2012, Congress leader, Salman Khursheed announced 6 percent while SP Chief Mulayam Singh announced 18 percent for Muslims but they gave nothing after elections. "The state will witness that people from all walks of life will participate in elections keeping aside religion and caste," he added.

Alleging Samajwadi Party and Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) for reviving communal politics in the state, Singh said both the parties are reviving the issue either through issues like Parikrama or Muzaffarnagar riots. In the state, there were two kinds of ‘Goondas’, one is in ‘Khaki’ and other in ‘Khadi’ , which people had to confront. "The condition of law and order is worse, local leaders create terror at toll plazas, government supports mining mafias, Muzaffarnagar riots, etc. But still government want votes on what basis," he added.

The AAP has already announced to contest lok Sabha Elections on the issue of development and people’s problem not on the base of caste and religion. "In the state, there were several issues including Electricity, water, unemployment, Farmers, illegal land acquisition, etc. Keeping the issues in mind, there would be separate manifesto for every constituency in the elections," he added.

When questioned on taking Congress’s support in Delhi to form government, Sanjay denied any such support from congress party and said AAP made minority government in Delhi with 28 MlAs and sought no support from any party. "We will contest lok sabha elections like this without doing alliance with any other party," he added.
