Only one Haj pilgrim from UP received injuries in the crane crash in the grand mosque of Mecca on Friday. The injured pilgrim in Anwar Niyaz from Allahabad, who received minor injuries in the accident.
The state Haj committee after obtaining the information from Indian consulate general in Saudi Arab said here on Saturday that all the Haj pilgrims from the state were safe. The Indian consulate office has also set up helpline for the facility of the family members of the pilgrims from different parts of India. The minority affairs minister Azam Khan has condoled the death of the Haj pilgrims in Mecca on Friday.
