lover was critically injured when they both were brutally attacked by the girl’s family members in Shahjahenpur in the hours of Sunday. The accused attacked the duo just in the name of saving family honour as both were having an affair despite of their warnings.
local police registered a case in this regard and were making efforts to nab the family members who all escaped soon after the incident. Baburam, a resident of Saijana hamlet of Sidhauli in Shahjahenpur district claimed that his son Rajneesh was in love with Pooja Yadav (Name changed), a resident of the same area. He said that his son wanted to marry Pooja but the girl’s family members were against the affair and had also threatened to kill his son if he will not leave the girl. Baburam said that his son, however, continued with the affair and on late Saturday night he went to meet the girl after learning that she was locked by her family members and they were not allowing her to go out.
Reports said that the matter took an ugly turn when Rajneesh jumped inside Pooja’s house and her family members caught the duo in compromising position in the wee hours of Sunday. They took out sticks and rods and brutally assaulted them in which both were critically injured. local villagers who heard their screams rushed to their help after which the family members left them and escaped. Both were taken to District Hospital where Rajneesh was pronounced dead upon arrival while Pooja was still battling for her life. Baburam in his FIR named Puttu Singh Yadav, Ram Dulari, Durjan Singh Yadav, Rajesh Yadav, Rajeer Yadav and other family members alleging that they murdered his son.
Meanwhile a gram pradhan was allegedly shot at by miscreants when he objected to their eve-teasing his sister at Dhanyan village in Shamli district on Saturday evening. Reports said that some youths were teasing a girl at Dhanyan locality of Shamli when her brother Chandra Veer Singh, who is also local pradhan of the village reached the spot. He warned the youths of dire consequences and threatened that if they will again tried to tease his sister than he will get a case lodged against them with the police.
However, the matter took an ugly turn when the miscreants not just abused on the pradhan but also opened fire on him in which he was critically injured. luckily some local villagers rushed to pradhan’s rescue which saved his life. They shifted him to District Hospital where he was battling for his life. later the family members lodged a case in this regard against the accused one of whom was identified by them as Deepak. local police also conducted raid to nab Deepak but he was found absconding. Police officers claimed that once they will arrest Deepak, they will extract the names of other accused after interrogating him and subsequently they will lay a trap on them.
