‘Brutality against humanity can never be part of DNA of any Indian community’

Senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader and former Union minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said here on Friday that present day Muslims should not suffer because of the “cruel communal crime” committed by foreign invaders.

Addressing the third and concluding day of the training programme of Uttar Pradesh BJP Minority Morcha at Visvesvaraya Hall here on Friday, Naqvi said that the heinous history of brutality against humanity could never be a part of the DNA of any Indian community. “But when some people try to become contenders for the cruel crime of foreign invaders, they actually help the nefarious elements in their evil design and harm communal harmony in the country,” he added.

Naqvi said that questions were being raised on surveys being carried out on unrecognised madrasas. “We should not raise doubt on all madrasas but the commotion on survey itself raises the question: Why create doubt when there is nothing to hide?” he added.

He said the government was committed to ensuring quality education for Muslim children and hence madrasas which do not impart quality education should be identified. “What is wrong with that?” he asked.

“Some people are trying to defame India through fake, fabricated and concocted prejudiced propaganda of ‘Islamophobia’. We have to remain cautious of such a caucus of conspiracies which wants to malign India's inclusivity and glorious cultural heritage,” he said.

Naqvi said that the BJP had demolished the “deceit of appeasement politics” with the “determination for development with dignity”. “It is clearly reflected from the MY (Modi-Yogi) Factor. The MY factor has become a ‘guarantee of inclusive empowerment’ by eradicating corruption, communalism and casteism,” the BJP leader said.

He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was a visionary leader who had made the common people a partner of progress and prosperity. “Modi has replaced the politics of privilege with prominence to people. During the last about eight and a half years, the Modi government has worked tirelessly and honestly with commitment to delivery to ensure socio-economic-educational empowerment of all sections,” he said.

Naqvi said that social harmony was the door to the successful journey of inclusive empowerment. He said that for some people and political parties, secularism was a political device to grab power, but for the BJP the secularism was a draft of development for “unity in diversity".

“Some fringe elements are fidgety and frustrated due to the positive atmosphere of peace and prosperity under the effective leadership of Narendra Modi. Such people are conspiring to disturb the fabric of social and communal harmony in society by spreading lies. We have to work together to defeat these elements who want to create conflict and confrontation in society,” Naqvi said.
