Sir — Our democracy is being tainted by political leaders who tell lies, show arrogance and express supremacy. In West Bengal, the Trinamool Congress claims that it is a symbol of honesty, and party chief Mamata Banerjee is the people’s leader.
But, in recent times, some leaders and Ministers of her party have been accused of taking advantages from a chit fund group which is under legal scrutiny. On the other hand, UPA2 is immersed in corruption, but the Congress still dreams of a UPA 3 regime with Mr Rahul Gandhi as Prime Minister.
This is how the game of making people fools is played. People are used as puppets. But the age of false promises and sentimental blackmailing is over. The young voters and the common man have experienced enough nonsense.
