Sir — This refers to the article, “Expansionists at heart bury the truth” (February 7) by Sunanda K Datta-Ray.
I am old and confused about modern ideas. The modern concept of nation-state needs to be reconciled with the ancient land of the Hindus. The entire territory comprising Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, Tibet, Nepal, Bhutan, Myanmar, Bangladesh, Sri lanka and the Maldives is culturally one. There’s nothing expansionist in India having annexed Sikkim.
