Unjust comparison

S Kumar

Sir — This refers to the article, “No road to recovery in sight for the Congress” (January 19 ) by Balbir Punj. The grand old party of India died in 1950, with Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Its corpse was carried to the pyre that Jawaharal Nehru had built, and was finally cremated, in 1969, by Indira Gandhi when Congress (I) was officially born. To mention Indira Gandhi’s Congress with the INC of Gandhi, Patel and Bose is to make an unjust comparison.
