Sir — This refers to the report, “Military nursing officers urge PM for job parity” (December 14). I am glad that the likes of Maj Gen Usha Sikdar are fighting for equality among officers of the defence forces. The Military Nursing Service Corps deserves its rightful place but the Army is trying to downgrade its status by passing unlawful and arbitrary orders, which have been successfully challenged in the courts.
